Is the Lunch Box Leakproof?

Our Bento lunch boxes are leakproof for wet foods like dips, yogurts, and thick sauces. However, they're not leakproof for liquids such as salad dressings, soup, or sauces. To prevent any excess liquids from crossing over to other compartments of the lunch box when packing foods like watermelon or citrus, we recommend placing a folded-up paper towel at the bottom - or you can utilise our Bento Cups or Leakproof Dip & Sauce Boxes.

Are The Lunch Boxes Dishwasher Safe?

Yes, all our lunch boxes are dishwasher safe* on the top rack on a cooler setting (45 degrees Celsius) than most dishwasher cycles. Wipe off any excess moisture from both the inside and outside of the lunch box after the dishwasher cycle ends. Note that hotter cycles may cause warping and void the warranty. If you run your dishwasher on a hotter cycle, we recommend hand washing.

*For the Bento Three+ and Bento Stainless Maxi please remove the seal on the lid of the Bento Box and hand wash this soapy water. Make sure both the lunch box and seal are completely dry before reinserting it.
